Activity monitor stats

    Hi all,

    I was looking into the Activity monitor this morning and found out the wait type as ASYNC_NETWORK_IO in the Processes.

    The resource waits looks as shown below.

    The highest cumulative wait time I see is for Network I/O and Locking. Is this normal? How should I start investigating into these issues?

    Since I see high network contention...shd I go with an approach of adding a new switch? Please help.

    That's out of my expertise.

    I'd have to read up on that issue, so your google is just as good as mine.
