Hello Experts,
We have a 2 node Active/Passive cluster environment.
For any rebooting purposes, Initially I will move all the resources from active to passive and will re-boot the node 1.
My question is if I stop the node 1 will all the resources automatically failover to the other node?
Basically we have an issue with the node 2 and some planned maintenance activity is scheduled on it. My concern is during that maintenance window for any rebooting purpose how I can make sure that it will not failover to other node.

Yes it will automatically failover. However, since this is a planned activity, why not do manual failover to the other node?

There is an option called 'prevent failback' which if enabled, will prevent failback to node 1 if node1 gets on.

You can pause the node and work on the cluster.

Unless you want to see how it responds to a server failure/shutdown do it manually, you can watch it more and if there is an issue during failover it can fail back..
