  Can Enterprise Manager in 2005 access and manage a SQL 2000 server?

  Conversely is it possible for EM in SQL 2000 to access a SQL Server 2005 Express database?

  Well, there is no Enterprise Manager, but the new tool called SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) can access and manage SQL Server 2005, 2000 and 7 instances.

  Conversely is it possible for EM in SQL 2000 to access a SQL Server 2005 Express database?

  No.
