Hi Guys,
I am not able to grant access to integration services. It gives the following error.
"Connecting to the Integration Service on the computer ''remote servername' failed with the following error. Access is denied"
I followed these steps:
1.Open Component Services; from a Run dialog, you can enter "dcomcnfg".
2.On the left-hand tree, navigate to Computers | My Computer | DCOM Config.
3.Find "Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services 12.0". This is for 2014
4.Open Properties | Security and for each type of permission hit Edit and add an appropriate AD group or user(Launch and activation/ Access Permissions). Be sure to check the specific permissions required, such as Remote Launch when editing Launch and Activation Permission.
5.Launch Services, and restart the SQL Server Integration Services service.
When I added this user to local admin group, it works. But I don't want to provide admin privileges.
Please advise.
Many thanks

I did the following steps and it worked.
DCOM User Group Membership
•Remotely logged into the server where SQL Server Integration Service was running.
•Started the Server Manager and brought up the "Distributed COM Users" group properties. To get there, start the Server Manager. From the left pane, expand the Configuration node, then "Local Users and Groups" and then Groups.
•Then added the Windows account of the user to this group.
Is this the right way to do this?

I just followed the instructions above and it worked for me also.
First this: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh213130%28v=sql.110%29.aspx
Followed by the 2nd post above. I was missing the step about COM security.
Worth noting you can do this all in one go by running Dcomcnfg.exe
Thanks:-D
