Howdy.
I've dug in Books Online and apparently only a user who's the job owner or a member of sysadmin can execute a job?
Can the ability to execute all jobs be granted to a user who's not the owner or a member of sysadmin? Would using a proxy account help?
Thanks for any help.

If you gave the user ownership over all the jobs, yes the user could execute them if he/she was not a member of sysadmin. In that case, you will need to setup the proxy account properties under SQL Server Agent.

Hmmm....
Well, I can't really change the owner of the jobs from dbo and giving the users who need to run these jobs sysadmin isn't an option either. I don't suppose it's possible to make the owner of the job a role and then assign users to it?
There's not grantable permission that, when applied to a user, allows them to execute jobs?
