  My company has has a product that implements DBMS patches. This product is a mainframe application that controls the patches to the mainframe DBMS, which is IDMS. This product can unimplement the patches and it keeps track of versions. Does anyone know of a similar product for SQL Server?

  I'd imagine depending on your environment you may want to use WSUS or SMS2003.  Here is a link that shows the differences between the MS offerings for what you are looking for... http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversystem/updateservices/evaluation/compare.mspx

  These can be implemented as your enterprise wide patch deployment standards as well.
