Hi
Plan is to take the 70-467 bi solutions exam.
But very disappointing to see that no official guides
or kits for this exam and very little info on the web. 🙁
Anyone taken this exam or can recommend a
good test exam site where I can get good quality
Q&As from.
Any advice on this much appreciated as this
seems to be a tough exam. I am looking at
buying test4actual papers as only one I could
find with any reviews... But they are super
expensive
Cheers

Books Online? It may not be the easiest, but it's certainly adequate

Just make sure that they're not selling actual papers first, or that could be a very expensive purchase indeed.

Thanks. I think Microsoft should provide an official training kit if it doesn't want people using brain dumps...
I think the one I looked at is an official site though.
I will use BOL but am going to need practice with the question format as I am bad at interpreting case studies so definitely will need additional help.

Sorry, think that a lack of hand-holding training guides is a justification for people cheating? Wow...
The skills measured is listed on the exam site. That's more than enough to take to BoL and study up on, especially if you have the experience that the exam expects.
As for case studies, if there are any in the exam, they'll be more or less the same style as in other MS exams.

Gail said it well. I want to add that with or without an official training kit people still use the brain dumps and still try to cheat.

No - no justification to cheat - ever! I was just saying that there ought to be an easier way to learn for this exam. BOL is a great resouece but it is not focused way of learning (bad when you have a family and need to balance work and home stuff). Also some people need help interpreting case study questions.
I work in BI and have practical experience but to answer questions in a pressurised environment knowing that Microsoft may have a "preferred answer" .. that is the worrtying aspect.
So I think there is no shame in hand holding study guides. Not saying "brain dumps" are ok - but it's frustrating not to find good bone fide alternatives.
Oh well perhaps it is worth waiting unit the summer when hopefully there will be more online help or I may look into an alternative BI certification that is easier to prepare for. :w00t:

Will just add that decided to focus on 70-466
exam first but no books or training materials
published for that either. Oh well - will start study for
it and hope SQL 12 stuff comes out on the market soon
as it has been a while now...

Cheating is bad.
A point worth making also is that some of the questions are written very badly in poor English and are very vague. It takes some gearing up to naturally understand the style of questions (which relates to a one or two exam failures). Sometimes its enough to use some logical reasoning to get the write answer. You have a point about ms preferred answer. I've been building bi solutions since AS was released in 2000, experience doesn't always correlate with ms questions or how Ms intended the product to be used. When tabular was released we asked for guidance on use, upper limits of what it was capable of... basically we got no answers essentially because ms don't how it will be used yet or what its limitations are in real production applications.

* Misconduct as determined by statistical analysis
What is this please? You break their bell-curve? You are taller than average? I'm curious to know how misconduct can be measured this way 😉
