70-448

  • Hi to All,

does someone take this exam and can provide me with some information

    about the questions etc.

    Thanks in advance

    Thorsten

  • Hi Thorsten,

70-448 I mean the BI exam for SQL2008 is easy when compared to 2005 version 70-445.

If you have a good knowledge of the basic terms, some real world experience and hands-on experience you can manage in the exam.

    Good luck,

  • I took the 2008 BI exam when it was in Beta, but since I didn't have all my studying on BI done (I only knew about half of what I should have), I bombed terribly. It was a hard exam if you don't know BI.

A word of warning. All the test cases, etc. that I saw in that exam are more realistic than I've seen in previous MS exams. Meaning, if you haven't used the BI tools, you'd best do some serious using before you take the test. Otherwise, plan to fail the exam.

  • Hello

I will pass the 70-448 certifications on next Monday.

Any interesting books that i can read ?

    Best regards

    Romain

  • What do you mean summary? And why would someone need to send you their resume?

  • Hi sorry I am French and “resume” in French mean “summary, draft” something that help you remember the most important. The concentrated of knowledge that I have to know to pass the 70-448 Exam.

  • Hi r.casteres,

I am preparing for the exam 70-448 BI development and maintenence.

I am currently reading the Microsoft self paced training kit, but I feel that wont be sufficient for passing the exam. Could you please send me your notes as you've mentioned here?

  • I was on a Firebrand MCITP SQL Server 2008 BI course a couple of weeks ago. There were 14 candidates and only 1 passed both exams. The 70-448 Pass rate was 7% at first attempt and this rose to 21% after the second attempt.

The exam seems to have become more difficult and there is a rumour that MS have raised he standard to make it more difficult for Gold Partners to meet their requirements.

  • I agree with you (as a matter of fact, there is a leyend at the beginning of the test saying that now MS exams are more difficult )

I took the 70-448 last week, and even when I got an score of no less than 820 in all my simulations using the MS Self Training Kit, I could not pass the exam at first chance :'(

Do you have any recommendations? Additional materilals, personal notes, something?

Thanks in advance for your time

I would not take it as making it more difficult, but that Microsoft is ensuring those that have the certifications have proven they know the product/technology. It allows you as a professional to show the level of knowledge you have with the product, and not just knowing how to memorize answers for a test. You have shown you can apply that knowledge.

I welcome a challenge. I don't take the test necessarily to get me higher pay, although it would be nice if it worked out that way, but to show myself I know the product. Coming out of a test I thought was to easy is very disappointing to me. I like going through one that gave me a headache at the end of it.
