70-431 Self Paced Learning Kit Questions

    Hi All,

    I am currently working through this book preparing for the 70-431 exam. As I haven't taken any previous MS certifications before I would like to know how close the practise questions are to the real thing?

    Any by that I mean the context of the questions. Are they straight multiple choice, based upon scenarios or a mixture of both?

    Haven't taken that one. The 441 and 443 exams were case studies, usually with 1-2 pages of various requirements and descriptions, sometimes diagrams, and then 7-10 questions. Usually 5-6 case studies.

    you get a mixture of multiple choice questions and simulation questions. I got about 12 simulation questions out of the 52. You need to know how to use the Studio Manager (no surprises there from MS), and generally the new features in SQL 2005

    Everything you can imagine is real.

    Ok I have never used XML before. I have just read chaper 8 of the self paced learning kit and it has blew my mind.

    I really don't understand how I would apply half of it in the real world and I feel I need to understand the basics before reading the chapter again.

    Does anyone know of any resources where it spells out what xml does and what it is used for backed up by examples?
