could someone confirm that I can run a 64bit instance and a 32 bit instance of SQL 2008 together side by side? OS is windows 2008 64bit

thanks Shawn. that doesn't actually list SQL 2008 64 bit and SQL 2008 32 bit as it is listing support with previous versions of SQL, but you would presume if they support 32 bit 2005 they would support 32 bit 2008.

Oh yeah sorry that link is for SQL Server 2008 R2, it does support running the same edition of 32bit and 64bit side by side.
this link: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143694(v=SQL.100).aspx for SQL 2008 shows it does not support SQL 2008 32bit and 64bit running side-by-side. Which does beg the question, why not?

Also the SQL2005 version says it does. Its gotta be a typo.
