I've converted a number of Access Applications now.
And still learning. After 3 conversions I discovered SSMA. Have to say this is the best tool sofar. It's not flawless but does a lot more and better than any other tool I've seen.
And then I discovered 2sql, supposedly way better. Downloaded an evaluation copy and tried to make it work.
Unfortunately it crashed time after time before it completed a Northwind database conversion.
Moreover, I haven't found a place where I can buy it, if I wanted to, and still don't know how much it would cost me.
Is there anyone out there that did buy it?
What are your findings?
Any feedback would be appreciated.....

Henk,
This post came up in a search I was doing.
Did you ever get a response?
If you are still doing migrations, be interested to hear from you.
CU2Global are the distributors for 2SQL
If you download 2SQL 5.5.7 to give it another try, make sure you uninstall 2SQL abd Delete the 2SQL folder in your users folder if there is one.
I am about to offer 2SQL as a free analysis tool to Access developers to take advantage of the detailed analysis that 2SQL does of Access apps.
my email is pgriffit at senet.com.au if you want to get back to me.

Hi PG,
Well, what a surprise, a reply on a 3 year old post.
To be honest, I totally forgot about 2sql. No, I never got any replies.
Having said that pretty soon I'll have another migration project where this might come as pretty useful.
Then again, my SQL Server knowledge has progressed as well, so I find it easier these days to come up with a solution myself, making use of the specific SQL Server possibilities.
So, are you the owner of the tool? And you are giving it away for free?
Is there a catch?
Cheers,
Henk

Henk,
Steve was a member of the ADNUG User Group I run http://adnugcom.wordpress.com when Steve released early versions of 2SQL.
I have tried to help Steve spread the word.
I have always felt that the analysis 2SQL does would be of advantage to Access developers so i have often suggested to Steve it would helpful that a version for Access developers to analyse databases would be helpful.
I am about to send details of self-drive-evaluation 2SQL to User Groups so that developers, both Access and SQL can see the Analysis that 2SQL provides, I am looking for some feedback as relevance for Access developers.
It would also be helpful to Access developers who have been asked to do a migration but have had to knock back the opportunity because of minimal TSQL experience.
So there is now a free version of 2SQL which can be downloaded from
http://www.cu2global.com/get-started/self-drive-evaluation-software
I would be interested in your thoughts on the analysis in the Audit_info file if you have time to have a play with it.
Download the Detective and User Guide from the info store
Download and install 2SQL 5.5.7
Setup Northwind or database you would like to analyse in separate folder
Run 2SQL
Click on Migrate and Convert (says Convert and Migrate in Detective Guide)
Click on Application Settings for test connections and do the tests (needs to connect to SQL Server)
Click File Settings for password if required
Click OK
Click Alert Message settings, if error message appears, to review settings
Click go
Conversion estimates are displayed
Click Close
Click Export Result;s
Northwind_2SQL Audit Info is created
