2008 Express - DB still has 4gb Limit

  Hey

  I have a db that is 4gb in size, and i upgraded from 2005 express to 2008 express as this has a 10gb limit, however it is still restricted to 4gb....

  SELECT @@Version returns:

  Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (RTM) - 10.0.1600.22 (Intel X86) Jul 9 2008 14:43:34 Copyright (c) 1988-2008 Microsoft Corporation Express Edition on Windows NT 5.2 <X86> (Build 3790: Service Pack 2)

  Any ideas?

  the 4gb limit still applies to 2008 Express R1, the limit was increased to 10GB in R2

  there's a lesson for me....make sure you update your saved installers
