  From what I know there is now way to restore a 2005 backup on a 2k server.

  I know it can be done the other way, but was hoping someone had a cool trick up their sleeve....

  Sorry for the bad news but downgrade restores are not possible.

  As a workaround use DTS, bcp, or SSIS
