Hello,
I need to access/register dbs on different servers from my local workstation - each server has a different flavour of mssql ie: SRV1 = mssql7; SRV2= mssql2000; SRV3=MSSQL2005 ...
Can MSSQL 2000 Enterprise Manager/Query Analyzer client tools exist on same box as MSSQL 2005 client tools? Any pros or cons?
Many thanks. Jeff

Yes, the SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005 Client tools can coexist on the same system. I have had no issues with this on any of my systems.

I have encounterred issues with having 2 version of clients, most of the time sql200o client shows weird character while scrolling, I would suggest to go with SQL2005 client.

Works fine for me. I'd suggest to first install SQL 2000 tools and apply SP4 and then go ahead with SQL 2005.
