Hello friends,
I have to arrange moving our RS(2005) to another server. The environment is as follows
Server A - Contains the RS Db's (ReportServer, ReportServerTempDB) -- This is staying put
Server B - Connects to Server A, this is the server that has RS frontend on it(IIS component)
Server C - Is to inherit the duties of Server B
The question is, do I open up Server C and use RS Config Manager to connect to Server A, will this do anything to Server B?? Am I even close to what i need to do??
Many thanks,
🙂

Yes that is what you will need to do. When you configure server C you will just point to the existing Database. And no it should not do any thing to the existing RS.

Thank you very much, can i have both Server B and Server C connection to Server A without any issues, or will have to stop Server B in order to point to Server C?
I really appreshiate the help 🙂

Yes you can. That would be like a scale out deployment. If you are not sure what is ment by that here is a link that explains it.
