A lot of googling has led me nowhere on this.
Can anyone explain the difference between version 11.2.xxxx and 11.0.xxxx? In particular I am running 11.0.5058, and I have someone telling me I should be running 11.2.5058.
Let me know, thank you!

Well, 11.0.5058 appears to be SQL Server 2012 with SP2 applied. Are you sure 11.2.5058 isn't a typo?

Not a typo. There are lots of references to 11.2 out there, but I see no explanations about differences.
See http://sqlserverbuilds.blogspot.com/ for example.

I don't see an 11.2.??.???? on the site you mention above.
Edit: Never mind, I found it. Looks like it may be synonymous.

11.2 would be a typo.

As Jason said, 11.2.xxx is a typo.
😎
BTW, you should be running 11.00.5623, kb 3072100, Cumulative update package 7 (CU7) for SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 2.
