Summary: ETL (Extract, Transform & Load) processes are fundamentally important in any data warehouse environment, and there are many different ways in which to develop the components. In this session I will share the 10 basic principles I follow when developing ETL processes, and also show how the different choices can affect performance. Following these simple guidelines have resulted in many successful projects and happy customers. I'm sure it will work for you too!!

PRESENTATION:  So Many High Availability Options, So Little Time

Are you confused by the various SQL Server high availability technologies? Do you understand what each one does and where each one may or may not benefit you? Although he grew up in South Jersey, he now lives in the Boston, MA, area and travels all over the world to work with and train clients. His most recent book is "Pro SQL Server 2008 Failover Clustering" (Apress) and is currently working on its sequel, Mission Critical SQL Server, due in 2013.
