Kind of proud about this accomplishment. I get asked all the time at user groups and SQL Saturday events, “How can I get started with SQL Server”. There is tons of training out there on SQL Server, but most of it assumes you have a basic understanding of it, or have been working with it for some time.
I decided to create a course geared toward helping someone with little to no knowledge and guide them through “what is SQL Server, what is a database, how to create objects, work with data, and administer a database”. With that foundation, they can grow into a nice career working with SQL Server.
That course went live on Pluralsight last night. SQL Server: Understanding Database Fundamentals (98-364). I was able to also gear the course towards passing an entry level database certification exam. This course is just over 2 hours long and is my 4th course with Pluralsight. I’m really hoping this course is a success in helping others launch a new career.
