Twin City Code Camp 10 Is Coming

,

794770179-1Twin Cities Code Camp will be hitting the University of Minnesota Campus again next month.  This is a biannual event in the Twin Cities where developers can get together and show their code.  An opportunity to see what other people are doing and to exchange ideas.

The event is on Saturday and Sunday on the weekend of April 9-10.  Sessions start at 8:00 AM and goes through 5:00 PM.  The event is free, so the only cost to the attendees to invest in their own career is the time that will be spent at Code Camp.  You can register for the event here.

Oh, and yes, I’ll be speaking at the Twin Cities Code Camp.  I’ll be doing a presentation on the use of extended events.

Extended Events, Work Smarter Not Harder

There are many ways to performance monitor your SQL Server environment. In this session we’ll review Extended Events, which is one of the newer SQL Server monitoring platforms. Learn the ins and outs of how to get detailed information on the errors and events that occur within SQL Server and how to dig into the information. With a few T-SQL statements, issues that could take weeks to research can be investigated in minutes.

If you are looking to one-up your Profiler skills with the technology of SQL Server 2008 and beyond, I highly recommend checking out my session.
