Let me just say, I’m excited.
First of all, can you believe that the PASS Summit is next week? Next. Week.
Are you ready…
- to have your brain explode from all the SQL learnin’?
- to reconnect with your SQL Family?
- to add new members to that family?
Personally, I’ll be starting out my week learning how to Troubleshoot Customer Performance Problems like a Microsoft Engineer, from Tim Chapman and Denzil Ribeiro. This should be a great, interactive pre-con session. On Thursday I’ll be at the blogger’s table during the WIT luncheon, where Kimberly Bryant, founder of Black Girls CODE, will be sharing her experiences and taking questions from the audience and Twitter. And last, but certainly not least, also on Thursday I’ll be presenting my session SQL Audit: From Introduction to Automation. If you’re at all interested in what’s possible in SQL Server when it comes to auditing, stop by and check it out.
But wait, there’s more!
I’m thrilled to share that I’ve joined UpSearch as a SQL Server consultant. Woot! Not only will this allow me to refocus my attention back to all things SQL Server, but it affords me the opportunity to work with and learn from some *really* smart people, aka Allen White (b|t), Kendal Van Dyke (b|t), and Brian Davis (b|t). I expect this next stage in my career to be challenging, rewarding, and a lot of fun.
So, if you’re going to the Summit next week, have fun, be safe and I’ll see you there.
