Well, we're just a few weeks away from the return of SQLSaturday to NYC as SQLSaturday#158, and it is sure to be a BIG one in the BIG Apple! I recently unveiled the awesome super schedule of sessions and speakers (top shelf premium liquor here), as well as our keynote, Brian Knight, who will kick off the event that keeps on giving!
We have so many wonderful sponsors as well, who will be giving away terrific prizes! Believe me, I saw the list! Don't forget, just for showing up, you'll get plenty of SWAG, but of course, if you haven't yet - you MUST REGISTER NOW! We're expecting hundreds of sql professional folk, but it's still not too late! The cost of admission is FREE, the value - priceless!
Some mention on the logistics, when you show up! Prior to the event, you should receive an email with your SPEED PASS for registration. SpeedPASS allows for a quicker flow at check-in, and eliminates some pre-event tasks like printing and organizing all the name badges and raffle tickets for attendees. Don't forget to PRINT them out and bring them along!
Now, I'm dedicating this blog event update to the overwhelming emails and inquiries from speakers, sponsors and attendees coming in from out of town! Consider this a public sqlcommunity service. Since we weren't able to really negotiate any discounted rates with local area hotels - pretty hard task in the city that never sleeps - we decided that concierge is not our thing, and so, that's part of why hotel recommendations are not posted on the event home page. We figured Travelocity and PriceLine would do a much better job! Now this wasn't my decision, but as a result of the leg work we initially did to scout out some places to stay, I will mere list some places we gathered, with no particular recommendation.
Therefore, I wish all you out-of-towners a safe trip in, and a great stay in NYC! I look forward to seeing all of you next month!!
I hope the below information is helpful! Can I take your bags? ๐
