‘Allan Hirt has been using SQL Server in various guises since 1992, and clustering
since the Windows NT 4.0 days. For the past ten years, he has been consulting, training, developing content, speaking at events, and authoring books, whitepapers, and articles related to SQL Server architecture, high availability, administration, and more. His most recent book Pro SQL Server 2008 Failover Clustering (Apress) was released in July, 2009. Before forming his own consulting company Megahirtz LLC in 2007, he most recently worked for both Microsoft and Avanade. He still continues to work with Microsoft on various projects including contributing to the SQL Server 2008 Upgrade Technical Reference Guide. He was recently named a Clustering MVP.’
