Last week I was delivering a SQL Server Training course for learning tree. The course was 2109 SQL Server Virtualization and Consolidation: Hands-On. As part of the course the class discussion moved onto the importance tuning your queries ensuring they make efficient use of the servers resources. One of the group asked if I would recommend a book on SQL Server query performance tuning.
I told the class that I liked Grant Fritchey’s book SQL Server Query Performance Tuningbook. I haven’t read the 2012 version of the book yet but the SQL Server 2008 version is excellent and I’m sure the SQL Server 2012 version will be just as good.
If you were at the class last week here’s the link I promised you.
