So I am really close to Atlanta geographically, but I?m never there. I?m going to change that after this SQL Saturday. I flew in the morning of, broke several well intentioned speed laws on my way to the event and got there in time to help our sales Engineer Brad set up our table in the sponsor area.
Brad was already hard at work talking to the attendees about all the great products and services we can offer them and trying to better understand why people keep asking for nude pictures of Brian Knight. I don?t get it, perhaps he?s just not my type J.
Next I ran into some friends. Aaron Nelson, Julie Smith, Audrey Hammonds, and Erin Hicks. Yes all my friends are ladies J. Well except Aaron (sometimes ). They are all incredibly talented make sure to check them out on twitter.
I did my session on Zero to cube and it was a big hit, good attendance and GREAT questions! I promised to post something about the book I was recommending and the link to the data set so here they are:
Guide to Dimensional Modelling
Noone cashed in their hug coupon from our email blast last month, but Jacksonville folks are cashing them in! I?m making it rain hugs around here! Too soon it was time for Brad and I to leave. Great job to the folks who pulled the event together. You heard from me that day, great signage, lunch and facility. The TRIFECTA! Ok till next time.
See you out there! Check me out on twitter at @Adam_Jorgensen.
