Speaking In April #SQLSat111 and #SQLSat107

,

All Quite on the Western Front

It is going to get noisy soon though! I”m speaking at SQLSaturday #111 in Atlanta April 14th. This is a new presentation for me I always build one or two new presentations a year and this one is near and dear to my heart.

Benchmarking, Baselines and Monitoring Storage is something I do on a regular basis and have finally put it all together covering several tools some you may know and some you may not. Don’t worry if you aren’t a storage expert this is designed to get you started on your journey to storage enlightenment.

If that wasn’t good enough the schedule is just amazing. It’s not often I’m tempted to cancel my own session so I can see someone else’s!

Next up on the SQLSaturday train is in my back yard in Houston. SQLSaturday #107 on April 21st. I”m giving two sessions.

Benchmarking, Baselines and Monitoring Storage and an updated version of Solid State Storage Deep Dive that I presented at the PASS Summit 2011. This is also like a family reunion as all the Idera ACE’s will be in town attending AND speaking.

Two words for you KALEN DELANEY. What a huge win for the Houston folks! the Precon sold out early but you can still see her speak, for free I might add, first thing in the morning. When I got the notification the first thing I did was check the schedule and see if I would have to beg them to move my session.

I’ve got more coming up in the next few months not to mention the SQLRally in Dallas where I’ll be presenting Fundamentals of SAN, NAS and IP Storage. The lines are getting blurry as network attached storage is converging more and more into the commodity network space. Gone are the days where you had a single option that costs hundreds of thousands of dollars. That also means there is more to learn and pitfalls to watch out for.

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone as I get out on the road. Remember, don’t be shy come and say hi and expand your network a bit.
