I am very honoured to share that I have been picked up to speak at the German SQLSaturday in Munich 2016 on the 8th of October. The very first SQLSaturday in Germany was one of my first international SQLSaturdays back in 2012 and it was in Munich – I have written about it in Going to and presenting at SQLSaturday #170 Munich and I truly felt sorry that in the last years there has not been any more in such an amazing city, as Munich. The wait is over and on the 8th of October the SQLSaturday will be back to Munich after 4 years!
If you look at the already available schedule, you will find some amazing international speakers, such as Dejan Sarka, Kalen Delaney, Gerhard Brueckl, Wolfgang Strasser, Milos Radivojevic, André Kamman, Hugo Kornelis, Scott Klein, Frank Geisler, and others – the list is truly amazing! There are huge reasons to be very grateful to be a presenter at such an event!
I am also happy that OH22 will have 3 sessions, with Oliver & Tillmann delivering a session on the data transformation and Gabi is doing a great session on the Scoped Assignments, while I will be focusing on what’s new in SQL Server 2016 for the Columnstore Indexes.
In fact, this will be my very first international SQLSaturday outside of Portugal since the SQLSaturday #459 Madrid in the late November of the 2015 ! As I have shared on Twitter, I decided to focus more time on my family and on the local Portuguese events in 2016 and so in 10 months it will be my first international SQLSaturday, which is very exciting !
My session will be in German, but if you are in Munich and even though do not speak German language – sign up for the event, there will be enough great content in English! Anyway feel free to drop by and say hello or attend my session Columnstore Technology Improvements in SQL Server 2016 [DE] at the SQLSaturday Munich 2016!
