It’s finally Friday.  Grab a cup of coffee, a breakfast pastry of choice, and take a break with some non-SQL reading.

Forget hybrids, where’s my flying car??  The Terrafugia Transition made its debut at the New York International Auto Show this week.  But if history is any indication, we’re still no closer to Jetsons-style travel.

Not sporty enough for you?  Perhaps a helicopter-car is more your style.

I’ve never experienced real train travel (you know, other than commuter trains), but it’s always held a romantic mystique for me*.  I’d love to travel across country by train.

I wish Cleveland was more bike-friendly.  My commute is only 7 miles or so, and I’ve often toyed with the idea of riding to work.  Then I come across some local story about somebody getting killed the first time they rode their bike to work.  And my SO tells me in no uncertain terms that no, I may not ride my bike to work.

* I recently watched the film version of Atlas Shrugged.  It was so supremely awful it almost put me off trains entirely.
