This is very interesting.

I've often thought that blogs were a great source of information, but it is more unvetted than normal. Not that an article is necessarily better written or more correct, but in general someone spends more time on it and usually at least two eyes see it.

With a blog it's more off the cuff, quick notes on something. While I enjoy long posts like I see on some blogs, I don't want to spend a lot of time working on them. If I'm going to spend that much time, then it should be an article.

Which is what my comments on that above might be.
