The New Year is just around the corner. Every year I make a resolution. And every time I fail. That is the story of my life. This year I want it to be different. I have more than one resolution for this year. I am sure I will be successful in at least one of them. (I am hoping)

One of my resolutions is to spend more time with my family than during the year 2011. I have been too busy with too many projects. Either it was work related or it was for SQL Pass organization. This year I want to balance my time better. My kids are getting older and I need to spend quality time with them. This could mean less time for PASS. I am thinking of passing over the Chapter Leader role to someone else.

My second resolution is to do some mentoring. I have already started mentoring my new DBA at work. It is not an easy task but I am enjoying the challenge.

My third resolution is to blog more about SQL Server and not just about Pass. This is something I have to do. It will help me on the long run I am sure. The more I blog, the more I will learn and so will others. I also want to make sure that I write at least three articles this year.
