I’ll be presenting SQL Performance for Developers to the members of ONETUG on July 10, 2014. I’m going to hit all the basics of performance with a goal of showing the developer audience why things work they way they do. For example, I’ll explain why SELECT * is problematic and why database design matters – not as academic rules enforced by unimaginative DBA’s! If you’re in town I hope you’ll attend.
I’ll also be plugging SQLSaturday #318 coming up in September, reminding them that it’s not just a “DBA” event, we’ll have plenty of content for developers and report writers and those that want to dig into big data too.
