I don’t know about you, but I like having the tools that I’m likely to use on my taskbar. That means I usually include both the icon for Windows Powershell and Windows Powershell ISE, which I have to tell you are pretty darn similar. And then if I need to run one in admin mode I shift-right click on it (once I figure out which one is which) and select Run As Administrator. Well guess what? Turns out if you (regular, no shift) right click on the regular Windows Powershell icon you’ll get not just the option to run Windows Powershell but run it as an administrator, run Windows Powershell ISE and run Windows Powershell ISE as an administrator. For someone who’s task bar tends to be rather full this is HUGE!
