SQLSaturday 200 is already looking further away in the rear view mirror, but it was a great event!
Joey D'Antoni, Sebastian Meine, Vince Napoli and their team deserve round of applause for a job well done! They run the Philadelphia SQL Server User Group - PSSUG.
The event was held at Malvern, PA at Microsoft's Office 45 Liberty Blvd. It reminded me of a college campus and was a beautiful venue on a beautiful day with outdoor fountains and ponds š
But, on the inside, was some awesome speakerness and sessions going on. The speaker schedule can now be reviewed for presentation uploads!
It was great to see PASS Empress Karla Kay, and the Godfather of SQLSaturday himself, graced the event with his appearance, Mr. Andy Warren!
Was great seeing #sqlfamily and friends, like Steve Jones, Mark Kromer, Christopher Bell, Matt Velic, Wayne Sheffield, Mike Hillwig, Kevin Boles, Hope Foley, Paul Rizza, Brian Moran and so many more folks! Also, there was Melissa Demsak, Michael Corey and other fine speakers.
This SQLSaturday, I first rolled out my HealthySQL presentation, a complete overview on SQL Server health and performance. My session introduced the 15-point health check, but more important, the importance of regular health checks of your SQL Server(s). Why we need them, when to do them, and what tools we can employ.
I plan to cure the circuit with this presentation as part of our Healthy SQL campaign to build awareness across the SQL Server countryside of the importance of regular health checks for our SQL Servers!
Now, little did I know, that the night before my HealthySQL presentation, I would actually end up in the Emergency Room! Let's just say I was on the wrong side of a ceramic tile. I assured my audience my bandage dressing was not a prop. I'm obviously ok, and didn't want that visit to prevent me from spreading the word on HealthySQL!
Iām
