With fall quickly approaching, I thought this would be an ideal time to set some personal goals for the upcoming year.  I hope to generate momentum in fall and winter and get a good start on this list:

Blogging

• Write three blog posts per month
• Participate in TSQLTuesday and Meme15
• Improve http://salvoz.com blog performance to achieve 5 seconds or less response time

Enhancing Professional Skills

• Microsoft Certification Exam 70-467: Designing Business Intelligence Solutions with Microsoft SQL Server 2012 –OR-
• Microsoft Certification Exam 70-466: Implementing Data Models and Reports with Microsoft SQL Server 2012
• Start learning .NET (C#), deliver functional WPF application

Leveraging Social Media / Online Communities (LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)

• Update most recent work experience on LinkedIn
• Use Twitter and LinkedIn to communicate new blog posts
• Add one new contact per month on LinkedIn
• Answer one technical question per week on Ask SQLServerCentral (or similar site)

Networking

• Attend one networking event per month
• Meet at least one new person at each event

Presenting

• Give two technical presentations
• Submit proposed session to SQL Saturday event(s)
