I was just reading Andy Leonard's blog about being a new author and thought, hey, I need a blog, too! 

I'm working on the same project that Andy is working on, also a new experience for me. Like Andy, I've had feelings of doubt about my abilities and frustration trying to get examples to work for my chapters. The editor and main author have been fantastic to work with, a class act all the way. I finally have a breather after working non-stop for 7 weeks each evening and weekend on my chapters. Looking back, I am so glad I agreed to be a part of this project. I have learned so much and am really looking forward to doing this again real soon -- after this book goes to press, of course.

I originally started writing articles on SSC earlier this year to help me get an adjunct faculty position at some point. While I'm not even close to retirement age, I think that maybe I need to get out of the business world and into teaching full time in a few years. I never dreamed that writing the articles would lead to being co-author on a book for my favorite publisher!
