When a new year comes around it is always a great time to reflect on the previous year.
2014 was a very special year for me, a lot of great stuff happened and I had some great chances to meet new people and travel!
First of all, 2014 was the year when I received my first ever MVP award from Microsoft for my work with SQL Server. I am incredibly proud of this and it’s probably the highlight of 2014 for me together with the trip to the MVP Summit in Seattle!
I was only able to speak at 2 SQL Server events this year; SQL Saturday Bulgaria and SQL Saturday Holland. Both events were great and I got some great feedback about my sessions. I am planning on speaking on more events, I will keep you posted on that!
2014 was also the year I introduced a new feature to my blog; video articles.
At the moment there is only one video article available but a new one is almost done! It takes a lot of work to convert a text based article into a presentation and video complete with demo’s, I really like to create them though so new video articles will be coming out in 2015!
I wrote a total of 18 articles on this website in 2014 which resulted in a total of 49.316! My articles also appear on SQL Server Central and have been read 17.396 times, making the grand total 66.712 visits and article reads! I am really impressed with that and want to thank you all for reading and commenting on my articles!
2014 has been a great year altogether and I will definitely try and make 2015 a great year as well!
