February 23, 2012 – Today, LINCHPIN PEOPLE, LLC, offering technical advisory, consulting and training services in the Microsoft SQL Server Space, announces the addition of two key partners to the firm.
Mike Walsh, SQL Server MVP (blog|twitter) Founder and Owner of StraightPath IT Solutions, LLC, is joining the Linchpin People venture. Mike speaks at several events throughout the year (including the SQL PASS North American Summit, user groups and regional events) and he blogs about SQL Server and Professional Development regularly.
Mr. Walsh finds inspiration in the idea of Service 22:40, “taking that commandment and applying it to business resonates with me,” Mr. Walsh states, “that means we can look at unique ways of not just increasing our own knowledge at LP but raise the tide of knowledge in the entire SQL community through ventures like SQL People. LP's model and culture not only allows for collaboration and shared knowledge learning – it demands it.”
Robert Pearl, SQL Server MVP (blog |twitter) Founder and Owner of Pearl Knowledge Solutions, Inc., is also joining Linchpin People. Robert is best known for his creation of the award winning SQL Server monitoring and alert system, SQLCentric, as well as his SQL Community evangelism and promotion of events such as SQLSaturday and more recently, SQLPeople.
Mr. Pearl recognizes that mentoring others and giving back to the SQL Community is an important tenet to being successful. A model of business built around the idea of bringing folks along up the ladder of success can benefit everyone involved. He also believes that team focus on specific consultancy areas such as performance tuning, and professional development, we can offer the best services, while offering opportunity to others as well.
The company’s founders, long time SQL Server industry stalwarts, Andy Leonard, and Brian Moran, co-Chief Servant Officers, joined forces to create an inspiring business model that does not simply offer SQL Server Performance Tuning expertise, but a unique way to conduct business.
Both fans of Seth Godin, Brian and Andy asked each other, “What would a consulting model look like if it cared more for its customers and employees than it did its profit margins? Could it even work?”
