Joe is Principal Program Manager for Azure SQL Database with a focus on query processing. Prior to Microsoft, he was a SQL Server consultant specializing in performance tuning and optimization. Joe is the author of several publications including the Microsoft white paper “Optimizing Your Query Plans with the SQL Server 2014 Cardinality Estimator”, online SQL Server courses on Pluralsight, and books including “SQL Server 2008 Transact-SQL Recipes: A Problem-Solution Approach”.
Joe prepared excellent courses for Pluralsight (link below). I really like his style of presentation and how he explains the most complicated things. It looks so easy even though he does a deep dive on the level 500+!
