• SQL Server 2008 Query Performance Tuning Distilled (Expert's Voice in SQL Server) by Grant Fritchey 
• After recommendation by Joseph Sack (Blog|@josephsack) last week SQL Antipatterns: Avoiding the Pitfalls of Database Programming (Pragmatic Programmers)by Bill Karwin
