It’s the ‘get your flu shot’ time of the year, which is also a good time to review your immunizations. This chart shows the suggested immunizations. As soon as I looked at it I realized I need to get an updated tetanus vaccination. The shingles vaccine is interesting. The FDA approved for those over 50, the CDC recommendation is for those over 60. It looks that decision is based on cost, not whether it works. The one time shot costs about $200, less with insurance, so I’ll see how that goes. Shingles is not fun, I’d rather avoid it.
