Policy-Based Management
This a policy-based system for managing one or more of your SQL Server 2008 instances. You can use this with SSMS to create policies that manage entities on the server, such as the instance itself, all its databases, and other SQL Server objects.
Would be interested to hear from those of you who have implemented successful policies and how it has streamlined your procedures etc
