I needed a KVM (keyboard-video-mouse) switch for home to let me switch between two machines, found the Trendnet 2 Port USB Switch on Amazon for under $30 - that's with two sets of cables. Works fine so far switching between and XP and Vista machine, no software install required. It's self powered (via USB), and even switches audio connections. No other peripheral support, but not a big deal for what I usually do. I'm using a USB mouse (wireless) and keyboard, don't know if it would be ok with the PS2 connectors and a USB converter or not - didn't have one to try. $30 for good enough functionality hard to beat.
