If you've never looked at one of these they are compilations of some of the best/most popular articles since the prior volume was published. I just received my printed copy in the mail (authors in the book get a free copy) and if you want a copy, you can download it (and others) from here. There's a ton of great content here and reminds me that as hard as I try, I don't always read the new stuff when it comes out and it's nice to go back and read (or re-read) some of the stuff by a great variety of authors.
I'm a little biased of course, the 'best of' thing was one of ideas way back when as a way to encourage authors to participate and recognize that participation, and it's nice to see that one of my ideas has at least worked and lasted a while. I can't take much credit beyond that, Steve has always done the hard work of compiling, editing, and getting them out the door, and I think it's a great service to provide.
It's free, and hard to beat even if it wasn't!
