The images on the TV news this morning were surreal. Hundereds of people dead, missing, homeless because of Katrina and her aftermath. It really hit me this afternoon while walking a couple of blocks for a sandwich on this beautiful sunny day in St. Louis. How lucky I am to be here and not there. Not that things are always perfect here, we had a devastating flood in '93, our share of tornadoes and we're waiting for that big New Madrid earthquake to hit. I kind of like boring. I don't know how I would cope with losing my family, my house, my job, my business or my town. I hope all of you reading this do your part to help in whatever way you can. I hope that you and your family are safe.
