Wanted to share a few things I came across recently with regards to benefits for veterans:
- You can get a printed VA card now by signing up via ID.me (ID.me also comes in handy for things like qualifying for incentives from car manufacturers). The card does not have your social security number on it, so it’s better for carrying and sharing than the DD 214. Most states also offer the option to have it noted on your drivers licenses, current list at https://militarybenefits.info/veterans-id-on-drivers-license-id-card-by-state/
- AAFES (PX) online is now open to honorably discharged vets. Different signup than above, details at https://www.vetverify.org/
Less official (and because I found it in the same batch of reading), T-Mobile also has what looks like a decent discount for veterans.
