I got home Friday evening after spending several days in Seattle at PASS 2009. This was my seventh PASS Summit and my favorite so far. The best part of this Summit was being a member of the Women in Technology Luncheon Panel.  Being a member of the panel was a big honor for me. I never anticipated the number of people who would seek me out for the rest of the Summit to let me know how much they enjoyed the luncheon.

The other very exciting thing about this year was being a part of the MVP charity project: www.SQLServerMVPDeepDives.com . Sadly, I was speaking at the luncheon during the book signing, but I did get to sign several books when people tracked me down.

This year, I made sure I took advantage of the Microsoft Hands on Labs and asked questions of the Microsoft developers. I also got over to the exhibition hall while it wasn’t really busy. PASS has so many incredible educational and networking opportunities that it will make your head spin!

This year Web 2.0 made its presence known in a big way at PASS. Last year, most of my friends were using Twitter to keep track of each other for evening adventures. I protested, being happy with emails and phone calls, but had to go along. This year, I jumped back on Twitter about a week before the Summit and started following several SQL people I had never met. It was really interesting meeting people first online and then actually in person at PASS.

So, tomorrow, it is back to work and time to implement some of the things I have learned about at PASS.
