About a year and a half ago, I approached Guy and asked him if he wanted to start a podcast about SQL Server. He was pretty surprised, but we started working on it.
We’ve been doing it for about a year now over at SQLServerRadio.co.il, and we love it. We have aired 19 episodes in Hebrew, and another awesome one in English.
Today we’re taking it to the next level and launching the English edition of SQL Server Radio!
We have a brand new website for the English show. Not surprisingly, the address is www.SQLServerRadio.com. We also registered the podcast in all major podcast directories, and we have a new podcast artwork, designed by our own Shiri Cohen:
What Will We Talk About?
We basically talk about everything around SQL Server and the SQL Server community. On one show of each month, we juggle around and talk about interesting blog posts, forum discussions, news, events and other things that happen in the SQL Server world. We expand about each of those items and add from our own experience. On the second show of the month, we go more in-depth. Sometimes we bring a guest, and sometimes we talk about a specific topic like SQL Server 2014, conferences or professional development.
How Often Will We Release a Show?
Our goal is to release a show every two weeks, on Thursday.
How to Listen:
You can listen to the show using any podcast app on your Smartphone, whether you use iPhone, Android or Windows Phone. Just search for “SQL Server Radio” in the app (don’t get confused with the Hebrew edition). If the app can’t find it, you can add the feed manually using the following URL: http://www.sqlserverradio.com/feed/podcast/
A few recommended podcast apps are the built-in iPhone and Windows Phone apps, BeyondPod (for Android only) and Stitcher.
You can also listen to the show on the SQL Server Radio website, or download each show’s file and hear it on your car stereo, MP3 player or mobile phone.
So what are you still doing here? Two episodes are already waiting for you! Head to the show website or subscribe in your smartphone and start listening. If you have any comments or suggestions, feel free to drop us a line. We’d love to hear what you think!
