SQL Connections 2010

,

The Track is back!

Once again at SQL Connections this fall in Las Vegas, SQLServerCentral is sponsoring a track in which we'll be providing the speakers and focusing on real world solutions, tips, and techniques that our crew has used in their actual jobs.

Brad McGehee is selecting the speakers, which is probably why I'm not speaking ;). Actually I was asked, but I thought I'd step aside and provide some in depth coverage of the conference from the SQL perspective. I've never been to SQL Connections, and so I'm looking forward to finally attending this popular and diverse conference.

Did you know that there are actually 7 conferences going on at once. Seven!! Under the Dev Connections banner there are:

  • ASP.NET Connections
  • Silverlight Connections
  • SQL Connections
  • Sharepoint Connections
  • Visual Studio Connections
  • Windows Connections
  • Exchange Connections

And you can attend sessions at any of these events for the same price you pay to attend one. I realize that you can't actually attend all the sessions, but if you are a hybrid IT worker, someone that has to support a variety of systems or develop against different Microsoft products, this looks like a great place to go get ideas, solutions, and contacts that can help.

I haven't been to Connections, and I'm not sure you get the same SQL Server networking time you might get at the PASS Summit, but I'm looking forward to attending Connections this year, and if you're someone that works with Sharepoint or .NET, perhaps you should as well.
