Bio: Rick Brewis is a long-time database specialist who has worked extensively with SQL Server and Oracle. In his past, Rick has in-depth experience with Rdb, Sybase, Ingres, and MS Access. In addition to database, Rick has also developed and supported applications using Web and Application Servers, Portals, Identity Management, Application Development environments (Visual Studio, Java, C++, Fortran, COBOL), and High Availability software and hardware solutions.

Ricks diverse background includes long stints at some of the major technology companies of their day: Oracle 11 years, Digital Equipment 7 years, and ADP Network Services 7 years. While serving these companies, Rick has covered multiple, diverse industries and has supported some of the largest accounts in the U.S. including: Ford, General Motors, Bank of America, General Dynamics, Rockwell, Delphi, U.S. Air Force, ArvinMeritor, Masco, Detroit Diesel, Northrup, American Axle, Cummins, Eaton, DaimlerChrysler, Hughes Aircraft, Detroit Edison, Disney, and many more.

Rick has been a regular presenter at User Group meetings and regional seminars throughout his career and is comfortable working with large or small group settings and has assisted several organizations in starting up their user groups while at Oracle and Digital.

Rick is finishing up his second year at Microsoft as a Technology Specialist selling and supporting SQL Server 2005.
