Script task disappears when SSIS is deployed to SQL Server 2014

  • When I compile and deploy the project to SQL Server 2012 (SSIS version 6) everything works as expected. But when I compile and deploy the project to SQL Server 2014 (SSIS version updates to 8) all the script tasks disappears.
when I pre-build the project in SSIS to suit SQL Server 2014 (SSIS version 8), it works. I just want to understand if I'm going to need to have 2 versions ready at all times.
Has anyone encountered this type of behavior? Am I doing something wrong?
    Please help
