Hi Guys
I need urgent help. I'm trying to install MS SQL Server 2000 Report Services on our DR ISS server, but the install does not give me that option to install reporting services and configure it. The only options available under feature selection are, Client components, administration tools and documents and samples. On the other hand the System Prerequisites Check has the the following exclamation marks, ASP.NET is not installed or is not registered with your Web Server and the other is Visual Studio.NET 2003 is not installed.
The server is a web server and has other sites configured and running on the same server and yes ASP.NET is installed and configured, i double checked it.

Reporting Services for SQL 2000 was a separate component with its own install process. It will also need IIS installed for it to work.
Best of luck in finding the SSRS 2000 install media.

I agree. SQL Server 2000 ended mainstream support years ago. Is the data source you are reporting on based on SQL Server 2000 still? You would be better served trying to implement a more current, documented and supported version, like SQL Server 2008 R2 or higher.
On another note doing a quick search on Microsoft's download site it looks like you cannot even get SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services any longer, just service packs, security patches and the eval edition of reporting services which I am going to assume it time limited.

I have extensive search but looks like reporting 2000 is not longer supported, i was also not successful in installing it as it kept complaining about the prerequisites not met while I'm sure they are all installed for example .NET. Nevertheless i have decided to upgrade to sql server 2008 and reporting 2008 which I'm more familiar with and comfortable to work with. 2000 is now a nightmare.
